Disconnecting an account, and what happens next

You can disconnect any connected account at Settings → Connections. Click Disconnect next to it.

What disconnecting does

It removes GigaDrip's permission to act as that account, and forgets the sign-in it was holding. For Canva, it also tells Canva to cancel the permission at their end, so it disappears from your Canva account too.

What it does not do

Disconnecting is about permission, not content. It leaves alone:

  • Your posts — drafts, scheduled posts and everything already published stay exactly where they are.
  • Your assets — nothing in Assets is removed, including anything imported from that account.
  • Anything already published — a post that has gone out belongs to that platform now. Disconnecting cannot pull it back. Delete it on the platform itself.

Scheduled posts are the thing to watch

A post already scheduled to a platform you disconnect will fail when its time comes. It is not cancelled quietly — it turns up on the Review board marked failed, with the reason.

If you are disconnecting an account on purpose, look at the calendar first and move or discard anything pointed at it.

Reconnecting

Connect the same account again from the same place and scheduling resumes. Re-approve any post that failed while it was disconnected, from the Review board.

Disconnecting is not the same as closing your account or deleting your data. For those, see Canceling your subscription, or ask us at Settings → Help.
