Design in Canva and bring it into a post

If you already make your graphics in Canva, you can keep doing that — GigaDrip brings the finished design straight into a post and writes the caption around it. Works with Canva.

Connect your Canva account

1. Go to Settings → Connections.
2. Under What you design with, click Connect next to Canva.
3. Sign in to Canva and approve the request.

Any Canva plan works, including Free. Once it is connected, Settings shows the name on your Canva account.

Three ways to bring a design in

Open the Studio and look for Option 3 · Design it in Canva:

• Start a fresh design — opens a blank Canva design in a new tab, ready to make something.
• Use one of mine — a picker over the designs already in your Canva account. Pick one and it opens in Canva for you to edit. If your Canva plan includes brand templates, they appear in the same picker under Brand templates, and picking one starts a new design from it.
• Import a design — skip the editing. Choose a design you have already finished and it comes over as it is. Every page of a multi-page design comes over together, as one carousel post.

Picking a design opens the original, not a copy. If you want to keep your master untouched, duplicate it in Canva first.

Coming back: Return to GigaDrip

When you have finished editing in Canva, use the Return to GigaDrip button in Canva's editor. That brings the design straight back here, turns it into a post and starts writing the caption — you do not have to find the design again or import it by hand.

If you close the Canva tab instead, nothing is lost. Come back to the Studio and use Import a design — GigaDrip remembers what you just had open and shows it first.

Changing the artwork later

On any post made from a Canva design there is a Change the original in Canva button. It reopens that same design in Canva; when you press Return to GigaDrip, the post keeps its caption and its scheduled time and only the artwork is replaced.

This changes the design in your Canva account too, because it is the same design.

Disconnect

Go to Settings → Connections and click Disconnect on the Canva row. GigaDrip immediately deletes its access to your Canva account and tells Canva the connection is over, so GigaDrip stops appearing in your Canva connected apps.

Posts you already made from Canva designs stay exactly where they are — the artwork has already been brought across and does not need Canva any more.

If something goes wrong

• Nothing happened when you clicked — your browser probably blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for GigaDrip and try again.
• "Canva is busy — try again in a moment." — Canva is rate-limiting or briefly unavailable. Waiting a minute is the whole fix.
• The design would not come over — some designs cannot be exported because they use content that needs a Canva licence or a pending approval. GigaDrip says which of the two it was; sort it out in Canva and import again.
