What Metricool is built for

Metricool is built around planning and measurement. It schedules across many networks with a drag-and-drop calendar and per-platform previews, reports on performance with automated reports and a Looker Studio connector, monitors competitors, and manages Google, Facebook, and TikTok ads from one dashboard. An AI assistant helps write captions. It offers a free plan (one brand, one profile per network).

Its pages describe scheduling content you bring, with an AI assistant for the copy; they do not describe a built-in design editor, a Canva integration, or generating a designed post from your saved content. Approval workflows for teams and clients are on its Advanced plan.

What you supplyTurns saved project details and photos, an imported listing (where a listing source is connected), an uploaded spreadsheet you map and confirm, a supported link, a local news pick, or a Canva design into designed draft posts. The posts and media you bring; the AI assistant helps write captions.
CaptionDrafts a caption per platform from a saved brand-voice profile, built from your website, guided answers, or a writing sample and reviewed by you before use. You edit anything before approving.AI assistant drafts captions and helps with ideas; we did not find a saved brand-voice profile learned from your own writing on its official pages.
VisualBuilds the visual from design families made for your industry, sized per platform. A Canva design you made comes in as its own artwork, image or video. We did not find a built-in design editor or Canva integration on its official pages; you bring the media.
BatchesOne saved input becomes a set of drafts in one generation, when you start it. Drafts wait for your review; nothing is generated or published on a schedule you did not start.Drag-and-drop calendar with multi-platform scheduling.
Review and approvalOne owner approves each post.Approval workflows for teams and clients on the Advanced plan.
Regulated copyFor US real-estate, health and medical, legal-services, and finance accounts, generated copy is checked for potentially problematic advertising language (Fair Housing for real estate) before it reaches your review. It is a check on generated wording, not legal advice or a compliance certification. We did not verify a built-in screening feature for regulated advertising copy on Metricool's official pages.
NetworksInstagram, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn (personal profile posts), and TikTok. Photos and carousels publish to all six. TikTok video can land as a draft in your TikTok app if the account does not allow direct public posting. Each plan allows a set number of connected accounts, and the trial allows fewer; an account has to be eligible on its own network.Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, X, Twitch, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn.
TimingEach platform can publish the same post at its own time.Scheduled times on a drag-and-drop calendar with platform previews.
TeamOne owner or creator per account. No team seats, client portal, or shared social inbox.Team and client collaboration, with approvals on the Advanced plan.
Reporting and adsRecords whether each post published and links to it. No engagement or ROI reporting. Its core strength: cross-network analytics, competitor monitoring, automated reports, a Looker Studio connector, and Google, Meta, and TikTok ads in one dashboard.

You review and approve posts before they publish. Approved posts publish automatically at the times you choose, on accounts where direct publishing is supported.

Can I use both?

This is a natural pairing: GigaDrip generates and publishes the drafts, Metricool measures the results and runs the ads. Both schedule, so give each tool its own accounts or its own kinds of posts so the same post is not queued twice.

How to check GigaDrip's side

The free trial is the real app with limits on days, connected accounts, and publishing. Bring one real thing you are promoting, generate the drafts, and count the edits you had to make before you would approve them. Run the same input through the other tool and compare the edits, the formats you got, and the total effort. That is a better test than any comparison table, including this one.

Sources and review date

Reviewed September 11, 2026. The other tool's side comes from its official pages, linked here; features that depend on a plan are named with that plan. GigaDrip's side comes from the shipped app and its live configuration on that date. Tools change, so check the source before deciding on a detail that matters to you.
